Our Nursery and Preschool kids will get a First Look at their Heavenly Father as they discover God loves me, God made me and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Each Sunday they will experience and learn through music, video and activities...all based on their age.
 
Our Elementary kids will discover 252 Basics. This web-based curriculum for K-5th graders is based on Luke 2:52:
 
...and Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man.
 
Each Sunday the curriculum builds on these basic truths:
  1. Wisdom - I need to make the wise choice.
  2. Faith - I can trust God no matter what.
  3. Friendship - I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
These Basic Truths shine through the monthly virtue and Bible stories. Every week there is a key TRUTH or bottom line the kids can take home.
 
January's Virtue:   Self-Control - Choosing to do what you should do, not what  you want to do.
January's Scripture:  My dear brothers and sisters, pay attention to what I say. Everyone should be quick to listen. But they should be slow to speak. They should be slow to get angry. James 1:19
 
Parents: What happens at home in many ways is more important than what happens at church. We know your week is busy. We also know that if we give you easy tools to help reinforce what your kids hear Sunday morning, then you are creating valuable God time for your family. Each month you will receive a CUE box that will give you cues on how to explore what happens on Sunday at home. Did you know there is even an "ap for that?" How easy?...yet how impacting on the faith of your family! Come learn more!
 

FUEL Ministries for Families & Children

Throughout the year there are ministries for families and children. Discover more about FUEL. Details for individual events will be available as the dates get closer. Please check back frequently.

  • January 29 - Family Communion Workshop - Noon to 3 pm. Stay after church for lunch then we will help you and your family understand the Celebration of Communion. For families with children preschool age through 5th grade. Registration required.
  • March 25 - Easter Celebration for Kids - 2 to 4 pm. An afternoon of fun that includes, story, egg hunt, crafts, games, cupcake decorating for the whole family. Bring your camera, there will be lots of photo ops. Registration begins in February.
  • June - Family Daze - Family time full of fun. Registration and more details will be available May 1.
  • June 8 Family Camp Out - Bring your tents, sleeping bags and lawn chairs. We'll have a campfire to roast hot dogs and make s'mores. If you aren't a camper, come for the evening then head home about 10:30 at "lights out!"
  • July 22-26 - VBS - The Sky...Everything is Possible with God! You'll discover some changes at VBS this year...It will be the same fun, starting each evening with dinner for your family (donations help us cover the cost of meals). Then families can join us for the opening with dynamic songs, silly skits and great worship. Preschoolers enjoy their own special area. Parents pick them up at 8:25 pm. The elementary kids will gather back in the worship area for a few songs and the evenings Spotlight Drama...look for your picture on the big screen! Registration begins May 1. Registration is $10/child. Scholarships are available. Join us Sunday, July 29...we will sing our VBS songs and celebrate a great VBS!
  • August 12 - Blessing the New Kindergarten Students! Children starting Kindergarten this fall will be blessed during both services. Parents will stand with their children for the blessing and prayer.
  • August 17  - Mud Redoux 2 - Bet you couldn't wait for this Family fun event! We'll celebrate back-to-school with a hot dog roast and muddy fun. Be sure to bring a change of clothes/shoes and towels. Registration begins July 22.
  • August 26 - Moving Up Sunday - Bibles are presented to our new 2nd graders. All kids will move up to their new classes and meet their new teachers!
  • October 27 - OrangeFest - All the fall fun your family can imagine with games, hayride, campfire with hot dogs and s'mores. Registration begins September 30.
  • December 2 - Parents Day Out - 12:15 to 4:15 pm. Need to time to Christmas shop, wrap gifts, take a nap while your kids are having a blast? They will have lunch, bake cookies, play games, watch a movie...and make you a terrific Christmas gift. You must preregister. Registration begins October 27.
