PET
The Personal Energy Transportation (PET) Project's mission is to provide appropriate mobility for all of God's children in need. We seek to provide mobility first for those in greatest need and with the least resources in poor or underdeveloped countries. The PET Project is a part of the ministry of Jesus Christ, whose disciples said,
"In the name of Jesus Christ, arise and walk." Acts 3:6
The PET is a hand-cranked wheelchair that allows people who have lost the use of their legs due to polio, landmines, injuries, etc. mobility they would not otherwise have. The United Methodist Men at Cornerstone take great pride in being a part of this great mission to help these individuals. The body parts are assembled and painted blue then taken to Columbia, Mo where the Pet is completely assembled. The PET's that are made from Cornerstone are specifically designed for children. An excess of 100 PETS have been donated by the United Methodist Men here at Cornerstone.
